Ahead of the 2019 general elections, President Muhammadu Buhari has picked his expression of interest and nomination form to contest in the forthcoming primary election of his ruling All Progressives Congress APC.

According to Bashir Ahmad who is the personal assistant to the president on new media, the N45 million form was purchased on behalf of the president by a “group of good Nigerians”.

Vanguard reports that one of the president’s support groups, the Nigerian Consolidation Ambassadors Network, bought the form for him. The form was purchased today, Wednesday, September 5.

National Coordinator of the group, Barr. Sunusi Musa who led his members to purchase the form said the President is not a multi-millionaire cash-wise, “but he has millions of supporters who are always ready to come together to pay for his nomination form”.

With the purchase a day after the APC leadership made public the primary time tables and the cost, President Muhammadu Buhari becomes the first aspirant to obtain the nomination form.

Many pro-Buhari groups had lobbied to? be the ones to purchase the form for the president.

Adams Oshiomhole who is the national chairman of the party received the group at the party’s headquarters as they came to purchase the form for the president who is still in China.
