A teacher’s aide in New Jersey has been arrested for sleeping with her 14-year-old student.
31-year old Liz Perez, a mother of one, was arrested on Friday and charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The two allegedly had sexual intercourse over winter break at her residence, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
She was a per diem teacher’s aid at Dr. William H Horton, a public K-8 school in Newark.
The minor involved attended the school, according to NBC.
According to her social media, she appears to be a mother to an elementary school-aged son.
