2023: Top six States with highest registered voters

Ahead of the 2023 basic elections, evaluation of the preliminary register reveals that six States of Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Rivers, Katsina and Oyo have the highest registered voters.

Checks by DAILY POST point out that Lagos leads with 7,075,192 registered voters, adopted by Kano, which has 5,927,565 registered voters, whereas Kaduna, Rivers, Katsina and Oyo have 4,345,469; 3,532,990; 3,519,260 and three,275,045 registered voters, respectively.

The revelation is approaching the heels of the disclosure by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, that the voter register had gone as much as 93.5m.

Yakubu introduced this on Wednesday through the fee’s quarterly assembly with political events in Abuja.

He additionally said that the fee is working onerous to make sure the completion of printing of remaining Permanent Voter Cards for brand new voters, including that Nigerians would quickly be told of the detailed plan to make sure a seamless assortment of the PVCs.
