The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship flagbearer for Jigawa State within the 2023 basic election, Dr Mustapha Lamido, has described the current appointment of political aides by Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, a few months to the end of his tenure as deceptive.
Lamido reacted in a press release made accessible to DAILY POST in Abuja by Umar Kyari Jitau Madamuwa, Deputy Director, Media and Publicity of his marketing campaign directorate.
The PDP governorship candidate considered the event as a ‘panic appointment’ and a shameful act which mustn’t occur, provided that there’s no time for the appointees to settle and work for the individuals anymore.
The assertion quoted Lamido to have acknowledged this whereas addressing PDP stakeholders from the Ringim Local Government Area of the state on the ongoing interactive conferences with get together officers from all native governments.
The assertion mentioned: “I wondered how on earth a government that has only five months to pack off will result to deceiving its citizens by appointments that were supposed to have been done seven years ago.”
He promised to unite the state when elected and warranted that developmental initiatives can be sited in all of the nooks and crannies of the state, urging the stakeholders to unite amongst themselves to allow PDP to emerge victorious with vivid outcomes.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Ringim Local Government chapter of PDP, Alh. Ali Beguwa, assured that the get together shall be in all of the polling models in view of the mass defection by APC and different smaller get together members into the get together.
