Arsenal supervisor, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed that Pablo Mari, who’s presently on mortgage at Monza has been stabbed.

The 29-year-old was taken to hospital after the incident in a Milan buying centre.

According to Sky Italy, Mari is acutely conscious and Monza supervisor Raffaele Palladino will go to him on Thursday evening.

Arteta, speaking after their 2-0 defeat at PSV Eindhoven, talked about Mari “seems to be OK”.

“I do know [club technical director] Edu has been in touch alongside along with his kin.

“He is in hospital. He seems to be ok. I will get a briefing now about what happened,” Arteta talked about.

Arsenal issued a membership assertion on Thursday night, saying: “We have been concerned with Pablo’s agent who has suggested us he’s in hospital and is not critically harm.

“Our thoughts are with Pablo and the other victims of this dreadful incident.”
