Listen to this article

An Economics lecturer at Federal University Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Nadabo, has careworn the necessity for pressing and fast redesigning of the Nigerian foreign money as proposed by the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele.

Nadabo defined that many people have corruptly enriched themselves, stocked cash of their personal rooms as they might now not take it for banking for worry of being questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and different anti-graft companies.

He famous that when there may be fast redesigning of foreign money, “it’s either they begin to buy dollars in with the money, or loose all what they have stocked.”

According to him, most politicians refused to take their loot to the financial institution for worry of being arrested.

“So, if there is immediate redesigning of currency, it’s either they begin to dash the poor, buy foreign currency or the huge sum kept in their bedrooms become useless,” he stated.

He pleaded with the EFCC, and different anti-graft companies to beam their search lights on banks and different strategic locations as these rich males would start to convey out their doubtful wealth to alternate for {dollars} or pay into checking account of their kin and mates.
