Lagos Drivers Set To Embark On Strike Oct 31

The Joint Drivers Association of Nigeria (JDWAN), Lagos State Chapter, on Friday, stated they’ve concluded plans to embark on their proposed seven days warning strike, saying the strike motion will start on Monday, October 31, 2022.

The joint drivers  who disclosed this at a press briefing, which held on the Right’s House, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos State added that these anticipated to take part within the strike are drivers of mini buses (Korope), coaster buses federal Mass Assisted Transit, (*31*) buses, T4, LT, Ford and vehicles who will take away their autos  from Lagos roads for one week.

The Lead Counsel to the drivers, Ayo Ademiluyi, stated the strike motion is critical to protest a number of extortion and violent harassment by members of Lagos State Parks and Management Committee led by Musiliu Akinsanya popularly referred to as MC Oluomo, at the side of regulation enforcement businesses within the state.

According to him, the drivers lose greater than half of their revenue to the motor park boys by exorbitant levies within the garages and bus-stops whether or not or not they decide or drop passengers.

He kicked in opposition to the formation of the parks and garages committee saying this was not backed up by regulation.
