Police arrest two suspected drugs peddlers in Jigawa

Police in Jigawa State have arrested two suspected drug sellers in Yandutse village of Ringim Local Government Area.

The State commissioner of police, CP. Emmanuel Ekot Effiom confirmed this in an announcement issued to newsmen.

He stated the suspects had been arrested on 18/10/2022 at about 1800hrs following a tip-off.

Effiom defined that the workforce of policemen arrested 21-year-old Uzairu Adamu from Yandutse village in Ringim LGA, with ten (10) and half baggage of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp in his room.

Effiom stated after interrogation, the suspect confessed to having obtained the displays from one Zaidu Galadima, a truck driver from the Malamawa village, Ringim space.

He stated the two suspects had been arrested and the case continues to be beneath investigation at SCID Dutse.

He stated preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had been on the needed record of NDLEA.

The CP stated the suspects can be handed over to the NDLEA for additional investigation after which they are going to be charged in courtroom.
