As a part of its strategic method in direction of girls empowerment and poverty eradication, the Jigawa State authorities has launched the distribution of 4,050 goats to girls which is the third section of the scheme.
Speaking on the flagg off of the distribution of the goats to a few of the beneficiaries in Kazaure native authorities space of the state, the spouse of the state governor, Hajiya Hasina Muhammad Abubakar stated the earlier goat empowerment scheme had yielded fruitful outcomes.
She defined that the primary section of the programme was launched in 2016 to assist girls to enhance their supply of revenue by means of the goat-rearing enterprise, and its affect was very large which attracted many state governments and worldwide donor companions to repeat.
“We are proud that this scheme of using goats for women empowerment initiated by the Jigawa State government is now a role model as many bodies are emulating. Therefore, we will continue to use it in empowering our women for job creation, strengthen meat production and eradicate poverty,” she said.
