Dietmar Hamann blasts ‘unprofessional’ Antonio Rudiger after Germany’s World Cup defeat to Japan

Dietmar Hamann has branded Antonio Rudiger ‘unprofessional’ and ‘arrogant’ for showboating throughout Germany’s 2-1 defeat to Japan of their World Cup opener on Wednesday.

Germany’s marketing campaign in Qatar received off to a constructive begin as Ikay Gundogan put them forward from the penalty spot within the first half.

‘I think it was very unprofessional. I think it was out of order. Arrogant. There’s no defence for it in any way.

‘He was having a laugh, there’s just one staff having fun now.

‘I don’t know the way many individuals picked up on it, however I’ll spotlight it once more as a result of it’s not acceptable.

‘This is the spirit of the game, it’s about respect. He didn’t respect his opponent. And he paid the worth for it. I believe it was very unprofessional.’
