
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has said if he loses the February 25 presidential election, he would take it as his destiny, as a result of âI am not the first loser neither am I going to be the last.âAtiku disclosed this throughout an interview on BBC Pidgin on Tuesday.
He added that every one corrupt allegations against him had been investigated and nothing had been discovered.
âAll what I know; all corrupt practices or corrupt allegations against me have been investigated in this country more than anybody else and nothing was found against me. That audio has disclosed nothing new,â he said.Speaking on why he wished to be Nigerian president, Atiku said he had many youngsters and he wished to depart a greater country for his youngsters and also the long run era of this country.
âFirst of all, let me begin from personal perspective, I have many youngsters I brought them up effectively despatched them to one of the best faculties each within Nigeria and out of doors as I usually inform them I have lived my life and If I ought to bring all of them back dwelling; what sort of a country am I going to depart for them and this pondering that I have is a pondering that each mother or father in this country, what sort of a country am I going to depart for my children; is it a greater country or not?âThis is without doubt one of the causes behind my perseverance to run for the office of this country not only for my children however for the long run era of this country; everyoneâs children.
âHe also said he would take it in good destiny if he lost the presidential election slated for February 25, 2005âThat is my fate, I take it in very good faith I am not the first loser neither am I going to be the last,â he said.
âI donât go for any medical therapy overseas aside from regular medical checkup the only medical drawback I have was when you recall in 2006 in an election year like this I tripped from staircase and injured my knee and I went to Germany for therapy I didnât have any fracture; I simply have what they call Tendon Rupture and the Tendon was brought back in, in order thatâs the only illness I have and if electoral authorities say we must always produce our medical studies, I’m prepared to provide my medical studies.
ââWhatever medical attention I require is available in the country I will avail myself of that facility but if it is not available; what do you want me to do? To sit down and die?â
