Pakistani security forces successfully eliminated four armed militants, including a highly sought-after individual, in a counter-terrorism operation near the northwestern border with Afghanistan, as announced by the military on Sunday.
The clash occurred during an “intelligence-based operation” in the Khaisoor area of North Waziristan district, where Pakistani forces engaged in gunfire with the militants.
A military press release revealed that the operation resulted in the neutralization of four fighters, with particular emphasis on the elimination of a “high-value target” known by the singular name “Ibrahim.”
The statement highlighted the discovery of a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives during the raid. Additionally, it noted that ongoing efforts are underway as security forces continue to search the surrounding areas for any remaining fighters in hiding.
